Naar Den Bosch
Den Bosch kreeg in 1184 stadsrechten en is één van de oudste steden van Nederland. De stad ligt op het punt waar de Aa, de Dommel en de Zuid-Willemsvaart samenkomen en de Dieze vormen, daardoor kwam de stad qua handel al vroeg tot bloei. In de stad zie je overal nog de oude elementen; prachtige gevels, de stadsmuren en diverse kerken.
Den Bosch staat bekend om het Bourgondische leven. De smakelijke en de meerdere keren per jaar dat er worden culinaire evenementen georganiseerd. Al sinds de jaren ‘80 presenteerde Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch design en vormgeving in bijzondere en succesvolle exposities. We bouwden een unieke keramiek- en sieradencollectie op en schonken doorlopend ruim aandacht aan de toegepaste kunsten. Vanaf 2018 werd gekozen voor een nieuwe naam die beter past bij dat profiel: Design Museum Den Bosch. Zo weet het publiek wat het kan verwachten. Een museum waarbij design het hart vormt.
Brabants Museum
Het Noordbrabants Museum verzamelt objecten en kunstvoorwerpen die een relatie hebben met de kunst, geschiedenis en cultuur van Noord-Brabant en de Zuidelijke Nederlanden. De museumcollectie omvat meer dan 30.000 objecten, zoals schilderijen, prenten, tekeningen, textiel, munten & penningen, glas, zilver, kunstnijverheid, archeologie en typisch Brabantse objecten. Het Brabants Museum en het Design Museum liggen bij elkaar. Dat maakt een museumdag compleet.
